40 Things to Do Before I Turn 40

  1. Take a cruise.
  2. Read 500 books by my 40th birthday starting February 2010.
  3. Visit Dubai.
  4. Go see a musical or broadway show.
  5. Buy a carpet in a foreign country.
  6. Go skinny dipping!
  7. Adopt a child.
  8. Learn how to use my sewing machine!
  9. Buy a perfect black dress.
  10. Write a book.
  11. Reach my ideal body weight.
  12. Lead a small group Bible study.
  13. Learn how to roller blade.
  14. Visit Italy, this time with my darling husband.
  15. Move to a bigger house with a pool.
  16. Take a “Mommy & Daughter trip” with Bella.
  17. Be a bridesmaid.
  18. Fast.
  19. Be fluent in Spanish.
  20. Go on a mission trip.
  21. Host a poker tournament.
  22. Read six novels of Jane Austen (Mansfield Park, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility and Northanger Abbey).
  23. Have my brother live with me for two months in the summer!
  24. Participate in the Bible in 90 days challenge.
  25. Take a family beach vacation.
  26. Prepare holiday feast own my own!
  27. Read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.
  28. Bake cookies for Bella’s class just because.
  29. Make curtains for our house.
  30. Cross stitch.
  31. Wear a bikini.
  32. Help Bella to speak Korean fluently.
  33. Learn how to play piano again.
  34. Attend a marriage seminar/conference once more.
  35. See a Blue Man Group performance.
  36. Do a walk-a-thon for a charity.
  37. Eat Sea bass dish at Hue.
  38. Buy a new car.
  39. Spend the night at one of the Disney’s resort hotels.
  40. Visit England again and this time, go see a castle that my husband loves so much!
