Tiny Talk Tuesday

These are the Tiny Talks of my 4-year-old girl, Bella.  For more Tiny Talks, head over to Mary’s at Not Before 7

It’s been a while since I posted Tiny Talk (last post was on August 30th!) and I missed many precious tiny talks of Bella. :-( Below are some old and some new talks of Bella.

———————————————————————————————————

Bella loved putting stickers on Mommy’s pregnant belly before Chloe was born. One day, she was “wallpapering” my belly with stickers as usual and she put one on my belly button.

Bella: “We have to cover your belly button so that the baby doesn’t come out. We don’t want that yet.”

Baby Chloe arrived 3 days after. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Bella was cuddling Mommy and she felt baby Chloe kicking.

Bella: “Mommy! Baby Chloe kicked me!!”

———————————————————————————————————

We heard Mommy’s pregnant tummy gurgling.

Bella: “Baby Chloe is watching TV just like me!”

———————————————————————————————————

Big sister with her little sister, Halloween 2011

We put Bella to bed one night and baby Chloe was a bit fussy and was crying a lot. Bella walks out of her room and says,

Bella: “I can’t go to sleep! Chloe is too loud! She keeps waking me up!!”

And the sibling rivalry starts…. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

I put baby Chloe in her crib last night and walked out to our family room to get Bella ready for her bed time. I found her sitting in her small chair with my bobby pillow around her belly with baby doll under her nightgown. Apparently, her baby doll was hungry and she had to nurse her. It was hysterical, awkward and I didn’t know what to do. I was just very sorry that Daddy had missed that…. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Bella was playing with her toy phone when I asked her to come and see Mommy.

Bella: “Hold on, Mommy, I’m texting right now.”

———————————————————————————————————

I told Bella how cute she was one evening during her bath time and then we went to list all the people we think that are cute.

Bella: Mommy is cute. Baby Chloe (who is not born yet) is cute.

Mommy: Who else is cute? Is Daddy cute?.

Bella: No!! Daddy is not cute!! He is brave!

I’m sure Daddy will take “brave” over “cute” any day. *^^*

———————————————————————————————————

Daddy was getting something out of fridge and Bella

Daddy: Wait, wait, hold your horses, Bella.

Bella: I’m not a horse!

———————————————————————————————————

Few things Bella has been saying lately…

Bella: (after first few days of school….)”Attack!!! Attack!!!”

I’m thinking lots of boys in her class might have something to do with that. :-)

Mommy: “You have no school tomorrow, Bella. You and Mommy can hang out!”

Bella: “Oh, no! But I miss school!!!!”

I don’t feel left out at all, child! *^^*

Bella: (While watching her Dora the Explorer show on TV) “Mommy, say Vaminos!”

Great. Now, she’s teaching me Spanish on top of making fun of my English! :-)

———————————————————————————————————

In the car one day, Bella says Daddy is amazing for something he did and then she goes on to say…

Bella: I’m amazing! I’m fantastic! And I’m funny and pregnant!

Daddy: No, you are not!!!!!!!!!!! Mommy is pregnant!

A few minutes later, Bella says…

Bella: “Mommy is preggie~ Mommy is preggie~ Mommy is piggie!”

Daddy:Oh, careful with what you say, Bella.”

Mommy: (trying to defend my little girl with her word mix-up) “I think she means to say, ‘Mommy is preggie’ not ‘piggie.'”

Bella:Oink, oink. Mommy is piggie! ha ha ha ha ha”

Oh, she’s in so much trouble! :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Bella’s been feeling and seeing baby Chloe wiggling in Mommy’s pregnant belly lately. Last night during dinner, Bella points at her full tummy from dinner and says,

Bella:Look Daddy! My baby in my tummy is moving!”

Bella comes into my bathroom while I’m flossing…

Bella: “(after observing my flossing for a bit) What are you doing, Mommy? Are you making music?”

Uh…I got nothing for that one, little one. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Snuggling next to me on my bed before her night night time, Bella looks at my full belly…

Bella: Is my baby sister kicking you again, Mommy?

Mommy: No, not right now.

Bella: Oh…my baby Silvermist in my tummy is kicking me. She’s hungry!

I wonder when she’s going to realize that she doesn’t have a baby in her tummy… *^^*

———————————————————————————————————

While taking a shower together with Mommy…

Bella:Wow! Your belly is so big, Mommy!”

Mommy: “Oh, is it? Thanks, Bella”

Bella: “Yes, it’s because you ate so many eggs!”

Good thing I’m “not” self-conscious at all, child! :-)

———————————————————————————————————

We’re singing head shoulders knees and toes song one day several times in different speeds. And then I said,

Mommy: “Now, let’s sing it in Korean!”

Bella: “Ni-hao!”

Hmm…at least you spoke another Asian language. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Poor thing has a cold again and I mentioned that she might have to do a nebulizer treatment for her wheezing before she goes to bed. After her nice bath, she says to Daddy

Bella: “Mommy, I want appetizer!”

Daddy: “???”

Stinkin’ adorable! :-)

I’ve been telling Bella that carrots have lots of vitamin A, which is good for our eyes. While eating carrots the other day,

Bella: “Mommy! Look!! My eyes are getting bigger!!.”

Well, I suppose at least she’s got the concept…sort of… :-)

———————————————————————————————————

We finally have decided on our #2 princess’ name and Bella’s been calling her baby sister by her name. However, Bella thinks that she has a baby in her tummy as well (Daddy is very disturbed by this but I was told that this is “normal” and that my child is NOT crazy! *^^*) and she decided to name her as well.

Bella: “My baby’s name is going to be Silvermist!”

Can you say too much Tinker Bell movie? :-)

———————————————————————————————————

How Bella feels about boys these days…

Mommy:We’re hanging out with your friends, Eli, Carson & Tanner, tomorrow. Are you excited?”

Bella:Why no girls?”

Your Daddy would be proud since he thinks you’ll have no boys in your future. :-)

On another occasion, Bella was changing into her pj’s one night.

Bella: “Hurry, hurry, Mommy, before the boys come!”

Bella prayed for her sick friend during her lunch time prayer the other day…

Bella: “God, please, take over her body…and take her body away.”

Uh…hmm…if she was trying to repeat what I said last night, I think she meant to say, “watch over her body” and “take her cold away.” But I’m just guessing. *^^*

———————————————————————————————————

This morning, I think Daddy was trying to teach Bella some Korean words (note: Korean is my native language which I’ve failed to teach my child so far and it is indeed quite sad to see my American hubby trying to teach his daughter the language that he hardly speaks. *^^*)

Daddy: “What’s milk in Korean, Bella?”

Bella: “Leche!” (Her BFF is learning Spanish and Bella speaks quite a few words in Spanish as well)

Daddy: “No, not in Spanish. In Korean, what Halmoni (grandma in Korean) speaks, remember? It’s Woo-you.”

Bella: “No! It’s leche!” (obviously she has nothing to do with Korean, thanks to her Mommy) “What’s juice in Spanish, Daddy?”

Daddy: “Uh…I don’t know, honey.”

Bella: “Well, you’d better remember that!”

So I guess Korean lesson didn’t go so well like Daddy intended? Poor guy….

———————————————————————————————————

Bella at her swim lesson yesterday morning…. Her swim coach was instructing Bella to kick, blow bubbles in the water and use her arms to reach and pull across the pool. Bella listened carefully and just before she went into the water, she turned to me and shouted,

Bella: “Mommy! Take a picture!!”

Can you tell she has an Asian as a mother? :-)

We promised Bella a long time ago that she can have gum when she turns 4, which seemed quite far away then. She’s apparently very excited about the prospect of having a gum on her birthday and can’t stop talking about it. When she meets people who ask her how old she is, she answers:

Bella: I’m three. And when I’m four, I can have gum!!! (jumping up and down!)

Also, she randomly checks the status of gum stock at our house by asking,

Bella: Mommy, do we still have gum left?

Her birthday is not until November! Hey, at least her birthday present this year will be cheap….a pack of gums! :-)

Bella loves being thrown high in the pool! *^^*

———————————————————————————————————

In the bath with all of  her princess Barbie dolls….

Bella: Reach and pull, kick kick kick, Ariel! Big breath and blow bubbles. (holding her in her arms) Don’t be scared, I won’t let you go. You are safe.

Obviously this swimming lesson is paying off?

———————————————————————————————————

One morning, sleeping Bella missed seeing Daddy off.

Bella: Where’s Daddy?

Mommy: He went to work, honey.

Bella: When I get bigger, I’m going to go to work!

Not to worry, baby. Your time will come before you know it!

———————————————————————————————————

Mommy: Time to eat lunch, Bella

Bella: Shhh….I’m putting my bear to bed for her nap.

I think somebody is ready to be a Mommy? :-)

I was reading a book to Bella that talks about being happy, sad, mad, etc.

Mommy: What makes you happy, Bella?

Bella: Donuts!

Mommy: (laughing) Ok…what makes you sad?

Bella: Eggs! (knows she’s being silly!)

Mommy: (???) What makes you mad?

Bella: Mommy!

Hmm….. :-)

My Little Mermaid @ her first swim lesson

———————————————————————————————————

Bella heard a thunder outside…

Bella: Mommy, did you hear that? It’s a flounder!

———————————————————————————————————

After reading what I thought an “odd” book that we checked out from the library to Bella,

Mommy: Hmm…I didn’t really care for that book.

Bella: It’s ok (sighs). We can just return it to the library if you don’t like it.

Mommy: Oh, ok.

Who’s the mother and who’s the child here?

———————————————————————————————————

Bella loves putting stickers on her baby sister (a.k.a. my pregnant belly) these days and she checks on them from time to time to make sure they are still there. We’re at her friend’s house one morning…

Bella: Let me show you the stickers on my baby sister! (suddenly lifts my shirt all the way up to reveal my belly in front of LOTS of people)

I guess I need to have a talk about what’s appropriate and what’s not? :-)

Mommy: Mommy and Daddy have Bible study with friends tonight, Bella.

Bella: Where is Bella going? (she’s used to going to her friend’s house during our Bible study)

Mommy: You’ll be at Graciana’s house, pumpkin.

Bella: Yeah!! And when I’m bigger, I can do Bible study here on the couch!!

Yes, Mommy can’t wait to watch you in your own little Bible study group! *^^*

———————————————————————————————————

Bella had to take a potty break from her computer game while Mommy was reading in her chair. As she runs to the bathroom…

Bella: I’m going to potty but don’t touch my computer because I’m not done, ok? And then, I’ll come and snuggle with you.

Oh, ok. Sure, yes, ma’am! Bossy just like Mommy. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

I was giving Bella a hug…

Bella: Hold me tight, Mommy!

Aw…I just love those moments!

This girl just loves the water! :-)

Bella was playing with all her Barbie princess dolls on the floor next to me…

Bella: (looking up at me) Mommy! Snow White said %^#$^ (potty word)!!

Mommy: (quite taken aback by the concept of a Barbie doll saying a potty word and my child tattletaling on, again, her Barbie doll!) Well, that’s not very nice of Snow White to say such potty words. We don’t say potty words, do we, Bella? Can you tell Snow White that it’s very rude and it’s.. (was about to explain the “disciplining procedure” of saying potty words at our house)

Bella: (holding her hand out to me) I got it, Mommy! I got it. (turns around and whispers to Snow White for a while and then put her aside, away from all her other princess Barbie dolls)

Mommy: What is Snow White doing?

Bella: She’s on time-out right now.

Mommy: …. (birds chirping)….

———————————————————————————————————

Bella and I were lying on her tiny toddler bed together before her night-night time last night and were going over all the activities that we did that day.

Bella:And then my baby sister popped the water balloon and I got soaking wet…

Mommy: You know your baby sister is still in Mommy’s tummy and hasn’t arrived yet, right?

Bella: No! She’s in my tummy and is ready to come out!

Wow so many things are wrong there but she’s still cute! :-)

Bella loves to get on the scale in our bathroom and I’d tell her how much she weighs each time she gets on it. Now, she loves to read the scale herself.

Bella: (after weighing herself) It’s 28 lbs! (she actually weighs 36 lbs…) Mommy’s turn! (as she pushes me to stand on the scale)

I get on the scale (I’d do this only for her, of course! *^^*)

Bella: (reading the scale) Mommy, it’s 40lbs!

How sweet. Hey, I’ll take 40lbs any day. :-)

———————————————————————————————————

Bella and her BFF were told that they can play in the ball pit at the play area while my husband and I pick out few items at IKEA store. As we walk in the store…

Bella’s BFF: Bella, let’s go play in the armpit!

Gross!! :-)

———————————————————————————————————

I’m pregnant, hence; I’m clumsy. :-) I spilled hot tea all over me on my la-z-boy leather chair (I didn’t get burn and my recliner was totally fine, thank God!) and Daddy was busy cleaning up after Mommy. :-(

Bella: Yeah, my baby sister spilled tea on Mommy’s tummy….

Wow, the poor thing get blamed on everything these days even before she’s even born! :-)
