These are the ”Tiny Talks” of my 2-year-old little girl, Bella. For more Tiny Talks, head over to Mary’s at Not Before 7
I’m a Korean and I don’t really speak Korean simply because there are no Koreans around me. Daddy has been telling me how I need to teach our daughter Korean since that should be her second language and all. I’m learning Spanish these days just to challenge myself and prepare for our future trips to South America. With that being said…while driving, Bella points at a horse and says,
Bella: Mommy, caballo (horse in Spanish)!!
Crust muffin… What was horse in Korean, again? :-)
This actually happened a while ago but I forgot to post it, so here it is. There’s this guy in our town who writes beautiful messages about God in the sky using the smoke while flying his airplane (I’m not at all technical about this and I’m pretty sure it’s not called “smoke” but you know what I’m trying to say). One day while we’re driving, Bella saw him writing a message (she’s very much into airplanes so she didn’t miss that!).
Bella: Mommy, airplane!! See that, Mommy?
Mommy: Wow, I see that, sweet girl. He’s writing a message about God in the sky. Isn’t that nice?
(by this point, the guy almost finished writing the message)
Bella: What’s that? (pointing at the message)
Mommy: He wrote, Go To Jesus. U + God = :-)
Bella: Jesus? Jesus!
That night, she’s telling Daddy about her day at the dinner table as she normally does and she remembers the airplane and the message.
Bella: Daddy, I saw Jesus in the sky today!
Daddy: (a bit dumb-founded and smiling) Uh…..Jesus came back and we missed it and are still here?
I hope not because when Jesus comes back, I’m outta here! :-)
